Jim Miller, MBA, CHSP


Began his career as a Hospital Safety Officer and now serves as the Vice President of Operations and Ethics and Compliance Officer at Medical City McKinney.  Mr. Miller has been with Medical City McKinney since November of 2012 in a variety of positions including Director of Facilities Management, Executive Director of Support Services, and Associate Administrator.  Prior to joining HCA, Mr. Miller served at the Administrative Director of Operations for Bon Secours Community Hospital in Richmond, Virginia.

Mr. Miller provides administrative direction for the senior health service line, pharmacy, engineering, construction, food and nutritional services, environmental services, emergency management, PBX, safety and security, pastoral care services, and valet.  Also, as the hospital’s Ethics and Compliance Officer, Mr. Miller manages oversees all hospital regulatory compliance from a federal, state and local level.  He has an extensive background in healthcare management having held leadership roles in both profit and non-for profit settings.  He is an accomplished and highly respected subject matter specialist in healthcare regulatory compliance for acute and behavioral health environments.

Mr. Miller holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Radford University and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University.  Mr. Miller is a board certified Healthcare Safety Professional, a graduate of HCA’s Emerging Leaders program class of 2013, graduate of the Leadership McKinney class of 2015 and Leadership Allen class of 2020.  A passionate advocate for those in crisis, Mr. Miller has worked with Caritas to shelter the homeless and is on the Board of Directors for the Community Food Pantry of McKinney and for Life Path Systems Foundation which provides support to families dealing with mental health crisis.  

Jim is a proud father of one daughter Ireland and has been happily married since 1997 to his wife Lynn. He resides in Allen, Texas.
